ABOUT
Dr. Dostál obtained his medical degree from the University of Sydney in 1993, and achieved his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1997. He has worked in medicine in the Illawarra since 1993 and dedicated himself to full-time general practice in 1997.
Between 1998 and 2005 Dr. Dostál provided services from the Kiama Downs Surgery, and has consulted from the Illawarra Family Medical Centre since 2005. From November 2025 he will also be providing services from Young Street Medical.
Concurrently, he played an active role with the Illawarra Division of General Practice, initially serving as Southern Sector Coordinator, he subsequently became a Board Member in 2001, then taking on the roles of Deputy Chairman from 2002 to 2004, and finally, Chairman from 2005 to 2006.
Dr Dostál has also served as a Clinical Senior Lecturer affiliated with the University of Wollongong.

Most consultations will incur an out-of-pocket fee (or “gap”).
While Medicare rebates have not kept pace with the rising costs of delivering quality healthcare, Dr Dostal strives to keep fees fair and accessible.
In fact, he sets his fees lower than those recommended by the Australian Medical Association (AMA).
Dr Dostal understands that circumstances vary. Discounted fees are available for Aged Pensioners and may be considered in other cases at his discretion.*
